The Rainforest Collection® |
Our award winning Rainforest Collection® specializes in the largest selection of rare and unique palms found no where else. We are recognized as having not only the finest collection you will see but we also have introduced more palm species than anyone else to the ever-growing commercial needs of botanical gardens, conservatories, zoos, theme parks, and the private sector! Currently, our collection consists of over 700 species. Because some palms are so rare, obtaining seeds can be very difficult to obtain and therefore very small quantities are offered only every so often. Therefore, if you are interested in something, but it is not listed, please ask. There may be very limited quantities available. Unfortunately, we are not in the position to ship small plants in a box throughout the United States. We do sell to customers that live in our local area or visitors that are traveling through and would like to stop by. We only ask that you call us ahead of time at 954.434.7681 and arrange an appointment to visit with Jeff. When a shipment is required with a designated truck company, all orders that are pulled are done exclusively by Jeff and no one else. Upmost care is taken into account and all palms are labeled individually and sleeved with paper to assure that they arrive in good condition. All our shade loving palms are grown in two different one acre shade houses. One house is ten feet and the other at 15 feet tall. There are many plams that display practically all the colors of the rainbow. Emerging new leaves on many rainforest species show off a pretty pink to bronze to read in color! With green being the most common color for the crownshaft on a palm, one can also find palms with yellow, purple, orange, and even vibrant reds as the distinguishing feature for that particular species. A few select species are prized for their mottled colorings found in the leaf with shades of purple, brown, white, yellow, maroon, and pink being displayed. When visiting South Florida or if you live in close proximity, we invite you to enter our shade houses where you will be surrounded by thousands of the most exotic palms found in the world!
